Welcome to St. Agnes School! A place to learn, a place to play, and a place to pray!
At St. Agnes School, we are truly blessed with a caring and talented staff that are committed to creating excellence through exciting learning opportunities for all students. We believe in safe and positive learning environments focused on reaching the potential of every individual. As a faith-filled community, we strive to develop the student’s emotional, intellectual and spiritual intelligence through strategic planning and the incorporation of our faith in all aspects of learning.
Our religious theme for Holy Trinity Catholic School Division this year is, “Be Joyful in Hope”. This quote brings specific focus to the formation of our faith and sets the school in a solid direction moving forward. Through this theme, there is an identity and mindset revealed within the school and community to not just be the best we can be, but know that God is present with us no matter the obstacles we may be facing. This theme has helped shape the positive identity of St. Agnes School academically, emotionally and spiritually.
We are very fortunate to have St. Joseph’s Parish as our neighbour. Under the guidance and leadership of our parish priest, Father George, along with Deacon Lamont, our students have the opportunity to embark on their faith journey with the support and guidance that they need. The parish’s presence within our school helps to our students’ education be rooted in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ.
Parent and the community involvement is essential in creating a feeling of family at St. Agnes. To help us meet the needs of our students at St. Agnes School we have a School Community Council (SCC) that has made many efforts to support the school and the welfare of our students. They have been pivotal in supporting school improvements and by planning and coordinating school initiatives that are linked with our yearly School Learning Improvement Plans. Collectively, we strive to focus and adjust efforts to help create a safe and caring learning environment. This school a special place to be in large part due to the efforts of the SCC. With this in mind, I encourage you to consider joining our SCC. It is a great way to learn more about your child’s school and their educational journey.
I consider myself so fortunate to be able to serve as the principal of St. Agnes School. Thank you for taking the time to consider St. Agnes for your child’s academic and faith journey. We look forward to working with you to create the leaders of tomorrow.
Mr. Clewis, Principal
