The Hellings host an annual Christmas Store at St. Agnes School that allows students to come and purchase gifts for their families for Christmas. All year long they gather, shop, and collect items for the Christmas Store in their garage, that ends up being packed to the rafters by the time Christmas rolls around. The sacrifices they have made as a family time wise simply cannot be calculated as they are always on the look for great deals and special treasures that students may be able to gift to a loved one. Their selfless actions are a shining example of the act of giving, both of gifts and of self. I often think about the countless special Christmas stories that have occurred when families open the gifts that their child was able to buy for them. I am sure those wonderful treasures have helped contribute to many special family memories, all due to the Hellings efforts.
