April 11, 2021 - HTCSD and PSSD Moose Jaw Update

After responding this week to feedback from parents and staff, we met again today with two Medical Health Officers to ensure we are operating on the most current risk assessment for the Moose Jaw community. After that discussion we are writing to confirm our previous decision that Moose Jaw Holy Trinity and Prairie South schools will return to face-to-face learning on Monday, April 12th.

Return to Level 2 - Face-to-Face Learning

Today we met with the Medical Health Officers for South Central, South West and Central East, as well as staff from Moose Jaw Public Health. After a detailed analysis of the local medical risk assessment, we confirm that Moose Jaw Holy Trinity schools will return to face-to-face learning on Monday, April 12th.

Moose Jaw's Crystal Meth Strategy Committee

The Moose Jaw Crystal Meth Strategy Committee is comprised of representatives from eleven local human service organizations and community members. The committee acknowledges that crystal meth substance misuse in our community has had severe social, health, economic and legal impacts and there is a need for further public awareness and education so that community members can all work together to address this crisis.

Moose Jaw’s Crystal Meth Strategy Committee aims to improve community safety, wellbeing, and education by increasing public awareness of the crystal meth issue and available community resources. In addition, the committee envisions offering opportunities for parents, teachers and community members to actively engage with youth in conversations around crystal meth.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this survey which will assist the committee’s planning. The survey is anonymous; however, you are invited to enter your name and contact information if you would like to enter a prize draw for a $50 gift certificate.[Parent_value

The idea is simple: Read the book, love the book, complete the book’s online activity and submit the SECRET CODE to receive a stamp for the child’s digital passport. The stamps will go into a draw for book prizes. I even have autographed copies of Bill Nye the Science Guy’s book!

There is a link to each book’s online activity on the book’s page in the slideshow as well as a QR code in the back of each book. We hope students and families will have fun reading the book and completing the activities together. Our hope is that, through this project, families and students may find a new favourite book, author or series. May they have hours of enjoyment together and create wonderful family memories as they Travel The World Together!
