Unpack Your Backpack Event
St. Agnes is excited to announce that we are once again hosting our "Unpack Your Backpack Event" on Tuesday August 31st from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. To start our school year in the safest way possible for our students and staff, we are only allowing students to enter the building for this event, which is exactly how it was run last year. This means parents are unable to attend and will need to wait outside the school for the duration of their child's visit with their teacher. Please note, it is not mandated that individuals wear masks while outside the school but, it is encouraged. Although this format is not ideal, it is a process most students will be familiar with. Students will need to be wearing a mask and sanitize their hands upon entering the school. Masks will be available at the front doors of the school if needed. Students will be greeted at the front doors by the Principal and Vice-Principal and then directed to their home classrooms where their teacher(s) will be waiting. Once there, students will be able to meet and socialize a bit with their teacher, drop off supplies, and then make their way back out to their parents when they are done. Parents are free to gather either outside on the playground or wait in their vehicles if they choose but please have that discussion with your child as to where you will be to reduce confusion. Please know our staff values the relationships that have been made with our families. If there are any unique circumstances or concerns you may have, please do not hesitate to call me at the school (306)694-1767 or email at [email protected] to have that discussion.
Thank you so such for your support and understanding. We are all so excited to have kids back to school and get the year underway!
I hope to see you Tuesday,
Mr. Clewis
